The mission of the PTO is to support St. Pius X Catholic School's staff and administration by providing resources to enrich the academic, spiritual, physical, and emotional development of our children; provide a volunteer network committed to supporting a Catholic-based education; and provide an open forum for discussion and communication of issues and needs relative to our school families.
Our many parent volunteers work together to help raise money and organize various activities to benefit SPX students, staff, and families.
PTO funds things such as staff supplies, a grants program for teachers, Young Hoosier books for the library, technology, and online subscriptions to enhance learning, middle school literature and science funds, the academic team, and a scholarship for an 8th grade student at graduation...just to name a few!
PTO would not be able to make such an impact without the involvement of school families. A very small portion of the school handbook/directory offered by the PTO is considered a family's PTO annual dues. If you receive or order one, you are a member of the PTO. It's that easy!
Attending a PTO General Meeting is a great way to learn more about the PTO, as well as, meet other parents. Meetings will be held once a month at 8:00 a.m. All are welcome!
Watch for SignUpGenius links in the Purple & Gold newsletter for opportunities to help with upcoming PTO activities.
If you would like to become more involved or have a certain skill or professional background that you'd be willing to share to benefit the PTO, please reach out to the PTO president.
