Online Grades

PowerSchool is the platform that allows parents to log online and see their students' grades. PowerSchool.

Resource Program   

Our Resource Program provides academic support to students who are facing academic challenges. In many cases, our resource team works within the regular classroom to provide academic assistance. For uniquely challenged students, our resource team will schedule time for small group work with students.

The Resource Program focuses on Math and Reading remediation. Middle school students also receive assistance in their English/Literature and Science classes.

Prior to being admitted into the Resource Program, parents, teachers, and our resource team leaders meet to discuss potentially effective accommodations and instructional stategies that might benefit the child. In some cases, public and/or private testing is needed, the results of which can lead to an Individual Service Plan (Student Plan). Technology

Technology plays a leading role in the support of the academic goals of St. Pius X School.

• Every classroom has computers, a Smart Board, Apple TV's, and document cameras that Interface with their Smart Boards allowing for high levels of student engagement. Teachers and students also have access to classroom sets of iPads.
• A school-wide portal, called Jupiter, allows active communication between parents, teachers, and students. Jupiter provides up-to-date grades so students and parents can track their progress throughout the school year.
• All Middle School Students are equipped with HP Stream laptops. This technology is used in all of their classes to interface with Jupiter and Curriculum Loft, a web-based assignment, test, and quiz portal.
• The updated computer lab is equipped with thin client technology. All grades spend time in the lab learning keyboarding, internet research skills, office tools, as well as, other software applications, such as animation, multimedia authoring, and programming.

St. Pius X is committed to providing our teachers and students with access to twenty first century tools to support them in their pursuit of academic excellence. 

National Junior Honor Society

The St. Pius X Catholic School National Junior Honor Society members embrace many different responsibilities around the school and community. In the summertime, the NJHS members welcome our new kindergarteners and their parents with an Ice Cream Social. Throughout the year, they mentor other students in need of academic help through weekly Peer Tutoring. In recent years, the SPX NJHS student members have planned and implemented fun and faith-filled activities for our school's Catholic Schools Week. Finally, the student members host and help run our yearly Open House for prospective new students and parents, as well as other various leadership activities throughout the year.
